Production Manager

The Role
The Production Manager reports directly to the Senior Production Manager and will be responsible for providing an   essential production management function across all in-house and co-production activity (incl. pre & post-production).  You will be responsible for all organisational aspects of production including scheduling and budgeting and will ensure all content is delivered on-time and on-budget.

What You Will Do:   

  • Working with the producers, overseeing the efficient arrangement of resources, facilities and budgets for all content produced.
  • Working with producers and Finance to agree, log and manage all production budgets for content produced.
  • Working with producers to ensure live productions are on budget and to schedule. Actioning any bottlenecks
  • Managing the overall production budget
  • Negotiating with talent/crew/agencies/suppliers to get the best deals for 3rd party services needed by production
  • Ensuring all administration and paperwork is in place (contracts, licenses, clearances, releases) for productions.
  • Responsible for adherence to all aspects of health & safety, safeguarding, and any relevant guidelines and codes with respect to content production.
  • Overseeing the WildBrain Spark studio facility and equipment.
  • Plays a key role in the transformation of our production activities ensuring we adopt an efficient and dynamic approach to creating multi-platform content.
  • Line management of two Production Coordinators

What you will bring:

  •  You have a proven track-record of successfully delivering multiple complex projects with knowledge of all aspects of production, design and post-production.
  • Highly numerate with experience of budget creation and management.
  • Skilled multitasker, with the ability to keep several projects moving at once.
  • Experience of production management systems, processes, and regulations
  •  A strong team player and collaborator
  • Leads by example in delivering excellence in organisation, prioritisation and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Analytical, with ability to communicate to internal/external parties when required.
  • Must be solutions focused
  • A motivated attitude with a strong desire to learn, grow and succeed.
